Phellodendron Description: In traditional Chinese Medicine, Phellodendron refers to the dried bark of Phellodendron chinense Schneid or Phellodendron amurense Rupr. The main active components of Phellodendron is alkaloids, in which berberine is the highest. Besides, jatrorrhizine and phellodendrine, palmatine, obakulactone, obakunone, and other active ingredients also occupy a certain proportion. The main pharmacological activity is related to antibacterial, immune system, and ulcer.

Some scholars found that feeding laying hens with Phellodendron combined with Atractylodes lancea, Agastache rugosa in a certain proportion, the laying rate is obviously improved.
